16th August 2008 Windsurfing: Blithfield Wind Direction: SE Wind Stength: F3-5 Surf / Sea State: Flat Air Temperature: Warm Sea Temperature: OK Weather: Cloudy Max Speed: Distance Covered: Lightwind practice at first with 5.8m, waiting for the wind to fill in. Just enough to plane at times, but gusts very short so a bit frustrating. Came in for some lunch and rigged a 6.4m Excess I had borrowed to try. Back out and the wind filled in immediately to give an hour and a half of nicely powered blasting and gybing. Excess (2007) felt really nice: stable and compact. Preferred it to my 6.7m Supersonic. Quite a few out, mainly racing each other right across the lake. Called it a day when knackered and the wind dropped - perfect timing - a great session. |
